What is Your Sunday Kitchen?

Your Sunday Kitchen is almost a lifestyle. It's centered around food, music, and life. The goal is for YSK to be a brand that encompasses everything about the comfort we seek out of life when we get together around the kitchen table, or like it mostly ends up, in the kitchen.

Don't get me wrong this is very food centric, but what better combination is there than good food with good music. It almost goes hand in hand, right? I couldn't imagine sitting down in a restaurant and there wasn't at least some background music. We have all seen the ads on social media for restaurants promoting singer or bands on a Friday night.

Or how about a great example of how it all ties together with the amazing movie Chef Featuring John Favreau?

So where does this blog come from? We live in some pretty crazy times, but we also live in some very blessed times. It is so easy to access ways to share the things you truly love and what you are passionate about. One thing that has always grounded me was good food with even better company. So, why not write about it and share with as many people as possible, right?

The inspirations behind Your Sunday Kitchen

Most importantly this blog will show you how food carved my path in life. I don't have the typical story of always wanting to have done food from an early age. To be honest I fell into food for a career and much like falling into food, I have fallen in love with what it can do for people. It is truly a powerful thing. Let me show you what it's done for me and share all things food and much more. There will also be plenty of personal nods to those who inspire me to chase my dreams. This also will hopefully set an example to my two biggest inspirations, my daughters. This is for Salem & Rian, always chase your dreams!
